Szász Kincső represented Harghita County, the candidate for the European Region of Gastronomy 2027 title, at the 2024 European Young Chef Award competition in Sicily.

Kincső’s competition dish, “A Taste of the Carpathian Forest,” was a reimagining of the Transylvanian venison stew, paying tribute to the region’s rich gastronomic heritage. The dish evoked the legendary golden stag of the Szeklers, which led the people to their homeland.

The competition was broadcast live on the World Region of Gastronomy YouTube channel on Friday, November 29, starting at 12:00 PM.
