Between February 20-23 we have participated at the 51st Spring Tourism Fair (TTR) in Bucharest, where we represented Harghita County among with 6 co-exhibitors and four restaurants. At the stand which consisted of two parts, alongside the co-exhibitors, a unique show kitchen has been set up to present the local speciaalities and culinary delights of Harghita County's restaurants to the public. The expanded Visit Harghita stand aimed to highlight the gastronomic values of Harghita County, in line with the goal of winning the title of European Gastronomic Region in 2027.
Our association, together with six co-exhibitors – Hotel Fenyő Conference & Spa, Septimia Resort, Oxygen Resort, Székely Konyha és Kert, Borszék Spa Town, and the Székelyföldi Legendarium – promoted the touristic values of Harghita County. At the Visit Harghita’s stand show kitchen section, a renowned county restaurant represented Harghita County every day during the four-day event. The participating restaurants alternated daily, so each day, a different restaurant showcased regional dishes or "fine dining" reinterpretations of local specialties.
The primary goal of participating in the tourism fair was for Harghita County to receive special attention at the Romanian Tourism Fair and to present itself as an attractive tourist destination, focusing on nature-based experiences, gastronomy, and family-friendly tourism. Numerous exhibitors contributed to promoting and developing the region's tourism, highlighting Harghita County's cultural diversity and richness.
Visitors and interested individuals who came to the stand were able to gain insight into the tourism opportunities of Harghita County and receive information about the county’s tourism offerings and services. Since we dedicated special attention to promoting Harghita County’s gastronomy appropriately, we recommended to the visitors the restaurants, bistros, and local gastronomic points listed in the Visit Harghita tourism app.
