On November 22, we participated in the closing event of the project ACCESSIBLE - The Development Of The Innovative Educational Method Of ACCESSIBLE Tourism In Central Europe, held at the Miercurea Ciuc/Csíkszereda campus of Sapientia University. The central theme of the event was the opportunities and challenges of the participation of people with disabilities in tourism.
At the event, the educational material developed within the project, available in five languages, was presented. It was created by educational institutions from the participating countries – including Hungary, Poland, and Croatia.
As part of the program, a roundtable discussion was also held, where representatives from the civil and entrepreneurial sectors, as well as our executive director, Szabó Károly, spoke. The discussion focused on the development opportunities of accessible tourism and the integrative strategies for local tourism.
The goal of the event was to present the project’s results and promote the creation of an inclusive tourism environment for people with disabilities.
