The Harghita Community Development Association (Visit Harghita) is looking for an applicant to attend the 2nd World Gastronomy Summit, which will take place in Manabí (Ecuador) between October 14–17, 2026.

Organized by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT), the central theme of the event is strengthening youth engagement through gastronomy. The summit brings together chefs, entrepreneurs, researchers, educators, and policy stakeholders to jointly seek solutions to the challenges of local food systems, tourism, and sustainable development.

The call is open to young people aged 18–35 from Harghita County who are actively interested in gastronomy, local food, tourism, or rural development. Applications are welcomed from chefs, restaurant owners, producers, tourism professionals, students, researchers, and educators, among others.

The selected participant will represent Harghita County, the 2027 European Region of Gastronomy, at the international event. Travel, accommodation, and meals will be fully covered by the organizers.
